Crow Knights are what happens when a usually fun and nature-loving community of forest gnomes have had enough. Via connections to rock gnomes in the mountains, Crow Knights obtain and train with specially constructed plate mail and then wade into battle.

Loggers, used to the illusions of Forest Gnomes, are often taken by surprise when the small armored Crow Knights clank into camp. They often break into laughter at the sight of the strange helmet the gnomes wear. Laughter that quickly turns into screams.
