Bio: Born in 1977. Currently reside in Hamilton, Ontario (near Toronto). Graduate
of Interpretive Illustration at Sheridan College (class of 1999). Have worked full-time
at both the Globe and Mail and the National Post (Canadian national newspapers)
as info-graphic artist. There produced everything from simple locator maps, to
main-art illustrations, to detailed renderings of equipment, vehicles and more on
a daily basis.

Art: Currently, my illustration work is produced in vector format in Adobe Illustrator.
This makes it easy for me to edit. The same illustration can be adapted to colour,
greyscale, pure black and white, and can be scaled to any size - while retaining
its razor-sharp crispness.

Software: Illustrator CS3, Sketchup, Photoshop, Painter, Art Rage.

Hardware: Col-Erase pencils (black), Mechanical HB pencil (0.3mm), Prismacolor
markers, Pitt brush pens, pigment liners (Staedtler, Micron), Wacom Intuos 3.

Contact: I am currently available for hire as freelance artist. I can always be
reached at: mike (at) mikefaille.com.
